In the run-up to the House of Representatives elections, Hollands Welvaren is interviewing eligible politicians who understand finance. What are their plans? How do we keep the Netherlands prosperous? Do they want a larger government that invests more, or a smaller one that cuts spending? And who will foot the bill for these political plans, and who will get a tax cut?
These are one-on-one interviews that last about an hour. Below, you'll find out who the guests are, how you can listen to and watch the episodes, and what " Hollands Welvaren " is.

What is Hollands Welvaren
Hollands Welvaren is an independent journalism platform founded in 2025 that aims to provide you with greater insight into the Dutch economy and is exploring the question: How do we ensure that the Netherlands remains prosperous? At its core is a weekly newsletter that is published (almost) every Saturday morning. In the run-up to the House of Representatives elections, there’s also a podcast series. Hollands Welvaren was founded by me, Joris Heijn, a financial journalist. Follow me here on LinkedIn.
Free to listen to, but not free to produce
Anyone can listen to the podcasts: The podcasts at Hollands Welvaren are not behind a paywall and do not contain any ads. But of course, they aren’t free to produce. Do you appreciate the independent journalism at Hollands Welvaren? If so, please consider, for example:
